Man charged after police officers stabbed in London

LONDON: A man was charged with attempt to murder on Saturday after two police officers were stabbed to death in Central London, Scotland Yard Told.
Muhammad RahmanThe 24-year-old, from west London, has been charged with attempted murder of a male constable; London Police Headquarters said a woman constable with intent to cause serious bodily harm after being stabbed in Leicester Square on Friday.
Rahman was also charged with two counts of assault and threatening a person with a bladed object in a public place, charges related to three other constables.
He was also charged with robbery and possessing a bladed article.
Rahman will be produced in a south west London court on Monday.
Police said on Friday that the stabbing in the Leicester Square entertainment district was not believed to be related to terrorism.
London police are deploying the largest number of officers in its history for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth II on Monday, with world leaders from around the world paying their last respects to the country’s longest-serving monarch are taking flight.
