I get angry and irate when my children are misbehaving. … the sense of “I’ve done enough” becomes alarmingly prevalent. … Intuitively, I try to relax by looking up from the screen, into the horizon and center myself; by contemplating the strength and calm of the sun. … I look back over the other side of the journey, and I see the rewards of a truly deep spiritual and personal journey. The Internet exists to satisfy an insatiable curiosity. In a way, we’re addicted to the internet because we can’t turn it off.

I had an interesting realization, after checking my blog stats: As I continue to write more and more, my blog traffic is not growing much, if at all, compared to my Twitter and Facebook followers. You can see on my blog analytics, over the last three months my Google Analytics makes no difference whatsoever, with no growth, whereas my Twitter and Facebook users are growing exponentially! (Look at the time series graphs here.) So, my “self-management of personal change” focus on the internet is making very little headway. The things I am putting on social media, are primarily passive marketing, to raise my own online status. Meanwhile, social media is filled with ideas and guidance, tools and so much more, but sadly, no action.
“Learn to be curious, be a good observer. The internet is a rich source of information, but to benefit from it you must take action.” Don’t be fooled by the same-old article. Find information from authors who will guide you in creating growth in your life, or how you can make changes to move forward in life and not stagnate. If you want real change in your life, take the time to learn and apply all the content that is out there that will empower you to take action. Avoiding clickbait. As you work to find quality information from well-intentioned authors, take the time to learn and apply the information to real-life situations that you’re facing. Self-awareness and balance will help you find information that is relevant to your life.
